Accessibility on the web

The internet is used by millions of people. There are a range of obstacles some may encounter when using the internet due to issues like colour blindness, poor eyesight, total blindness, and impaired motor functions. Accessibility in terms of the World Wide Web means accommodating for all users, and making reasonable provision to ensure that everyone can get as much as possible out of the internet. Good accessibility is not just for this purpose: an accessible site makes navigation, information dissemination, and general use intuative, for everyone.

Designed By Committee websites aim to be as easy to use as possible for all groups of people. This site has been tested against the WAI guidelines and achieves a minimum of level two compliance, with the majority of pages achieving the maximum 'level three'.
